My name is Nicolina and I come from the divided island of Cyprus. Being born and raised in a country that has been suffering an intractable conflict I was quickly interested in learning about world issues, international politics and conflict resolution. I love traveling and being involved with peace building and service projects in Cyprus and abroad. After completing my first degree in education, I took a year off to travel and see the world. One of the countries I visited that year was Japan and I was sincerely amazed by the uniqueness of Japanese culture, the kindness of the people and the natural beauty of the country. After my one year of wonders, I went back to school to pursue a master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratization in Italy and Denmark. To complement the theoretical knowledge gained from my studies with something more practical, I decided to undertake an internship and my quest would lead me straight to the UN headquarters in New York, where I am right now, interning with the Cyprus mission at the UN.

I cant wait to join World Campus International in Japan and meet all of you! Being a loyal fun of the Japanese culture, I can assure you that this will be an experience you will never forget!
